Here at Diesel Specialists of Green Bay, we are a hub for off road and industrial diesel engine sales and service. We are an authorized dealer for 10 engine lines, as well as a fully authorized fuel shop. We have been in business for over 60 years and are growing!

Position Summary:

We’re hiring a Shop Foreman to lead daily shop operations, supervise technicians, ensure quality repairs, and maintain a safe, efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is an experienced diesel technician with leadership skills, strong diagnostics ability, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of a Shop Foreman:

• Supervise, mentor, schedule, and evaluate shop technicians and apprentices
• Assign jobs, monitor progress, and balance workloads to meet deadlines
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, turbochargers, and related systems as needed
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications
• Enforce safety protocols, maintain shop cleanliness, and manage PPE/tool inventories
• Coordinate parts orders, inventory control, and vendor relationships
• Communicate with customers and fleet managers about job status, estimates, and technical issues
• Maintain accurate job records, timecards, and repair documentation
• Assist management with hiring, training, and performance feedback

Qualifications of a Shop Foreman:

• 5+ years diesel technician experience; supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills on medium/heavy-duty diesel engines
• Familiarity with common diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and repair procedures
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to read technical manuals/diagrams
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work on ladders/stands, and perform hands-on shop work
• Ability to travel during the week but will still be home every night!
